Collaborate For Success Inc is a boutique Canadian equity firm that partners with and acquires established businesses, fostering long-term growth and operational excellence.

Our Story

Founded by a small group of entrepreneurs who’ve lived the full journey - from building to selling, Collaborate for Success Inc. was created to do business differently.

We’ve experienced the sleepless nights, the tough calls, the great hires and the hard lessons. That’s why we approach every company with respect for the people who built it and the customers who keep it alive.

We’re not driven by short-term returns or quick flips. Our focus is on strategic growth through operational excellence, assembly of the right team, delivering an exceptional product/service, and consistently increasing profits.

At Collaborate for Success Inc., our mission is simple: to build the kind of company we’d want to sell our own business to. One that collaborates, preserves the legacy, and creates growth opportunity for everyone involved.

Because we’ve been on the other side of the table - dealing with drawn - out negotiations, due diligence, legal costs, and distractions from actually running the business - we’ve designed our process to move quickly and respectfully.

 

In many cases, we can close in under 90 to 120 days.

Every owner has different goals. Some are ready to fully exit, others want to stay involved. We’re comfortable with either. Unlike traditional VC or PE firms chasing short-term growth, we focus on building sustainable operations and lasting value.

And when situations are complex: a broken balance sheet, a tangled cap table, or a business in transition, we’re flexible enough to create solutions where others won’t even return the call.

How We Think About Acquisitions

We’re an entrepreneurial holding company - not a private equity firm.

That means we’re under no pressure to sell a business in three to five years.

Our model is built for the long term growth and return, allowing us to own and operate businesses sustainably, profitably, and with patience.
 

We have a hybrid approach on ownership because each scenario is unique and has to be a win-win for all involved. We focus on companies with strong fundamentals across Construction, Remediation and Restoration, Public Infrastructure, Recreation, and Energy.

Industry is a driver but less important to us than integrity, potential, and the  people who care about what they’ve built.

Naved Khan

Naved is a global operations leader and infrastructure strategist with over 20 years of experience delivering complex projects across engineering, construction, and business services.

His career spans bridges, refineries, dams, rail lines, airports, seaports, mines, and new community developments. h executed with precision, scale, and impact.
 

Notable projects include: Site C Dam, Calgary Green Line, Vale S11D Iron Mine, Whitehorse Airport runway expansion, Trans Mountain Pipeline, and Fort Hills.
 

Beyond project execution, Naved has led strategic initiatives in:
 

  • Mergers, acquisitions, and ERP system upgrades
     

  • Debt and equity funding for large-scale ventures
     

  • Financial oversight across tax, treasury, FP&A, and controllership
     

  • Business services including IT, HR, procurement, logistics, and communications
     

His leadership is grounded in cross-functional fluency and global perspective, having worked in over 30 countries.

Naved is a member of CPA Canada and holds an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management (UMass Amherst) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Thompson Rivers University.
 

Today, Naved brings deep operational insight and financial acumen to acquiring companies that demand scale, structure, and strategic clarity.

Giving him a rare ability to lead cross-functional teams with clarity, precision, and purpose.
 

Tanner specializes in:

  • Leading high-impact teams across all facets of the business.
     

  • Designing customer experiences that deliver value from first touch to final handoff.
     

Whether optimizing quoting workflows or structuring multi-phase growth strategies, Tanner blends strategic vision with hands-on execution. His approach and leadership are rooted in long-term value creation for customers, teams, and communities.
 

Now focused on acquisitions, Tanner is building out a group of companies that at the core are driven by innovation, embrace change, elevate the people, and have an impact.
